Trump Trial Begins, but Republicans Signal Early On That Acquittal Is Likely

After hours of opening arguments and discussion, the Senate voted against finding that an impeachment trial for an ex-president is unconstitutional. But with most Republicans voting against proceeding, it seems clear that it'll be all but impossible to muster enough bipartisan support for anything but acquittal.
